   ### **GatherPress Development Updates**

   * Static maps now in Alpha 2 (not officially released yet)
   * PNG format with retina display support (2x)
   * Alternative to dynamic maps for venues
   * Multiple other updates completed during job transition week
   * All documented but details need review
   * Programmatic refactors in progress
   * Andre’s draft PR for RSVP breakup
   * Class/namespace adjustments ongoing
   * Venue meta structure change planned
   * Moving from JSON object to individual meta keys
   * Enables meta queries (currently impossible with JSON)
   * Requires migration script
   * Alpha 2 nearing completion
   * Testing needed with WordPress 7
