I missed this one, so this is a summary of the summary, but hopefully it’s fine!

### **0.34 Progress**
* Recent merges landed and John’s plugin compatibility work is moving along
* Goal is to push 0.34 into Beta 1 within the next 1–2 weeks
* Remaining 0.34 focus areas:
* Block patterns for RSVP and other blocks
* Abstracting shadow taxonomy logic to support more post types
* After Beta 1 ships, Michael will ask Chris and Sean to test on their sites and offer patches as needed
* Michael will keep testing against WordPress 7 RC1 and update the supported version after 7.0 ships### **Google Maps API**
* Jeff’s PR is close, but hybrid and terrain views aren’t supported by the current embed API
* Plan: comment out (don’t remove) hybrid/terrain for now and clean up the draft PR for merge with limitations noted
* Implement API key functionality next
* Static maps to be explored before any larger JavaScript refactor (likely a future version)
* Jeff will prototype static map options, take notes, and open a GitHub discussion to gather input### **.org Integration**
* Dion’s wrapper builds on top of GatherPress using APIs, filters, and hooks — no core fork
* Patricia watched the latest demo; Jeff will review Dion’s 2-minute video after the call
* Plan is to focus on shipping 0.34 and advancing the integration before doing broader community outreach
* Patricia floated podcasts/interviews to raise awareness once there’s more to show### **GatherPress.org Site Cleanup**
* Submodule-based plugin updates on GatherPress.org caused fatal-error risk and need to be undone
* Jeff will:
* Open a PR to revert the submodule update implementation
* Coordinate with Mervyn to disable and remove the related GitHub Actions and submodules for GatherPress / GatherPress Alpha
* Move the relevant repo out of WingmanWP into the GatherPress org as private
* Michael will create the private repo under the GatherPress org and grant Jeff and Mervyn access### **Gravity Forms Switch**
* Jeff and Mervyn will swap the existing Gravity Forms setup on GatherPress.org for a new form option
* Old forms get replaced; site stays functional through the switch### **Meetup Tool Direction**
* Decision to keep the meetup tool intentionally simple — many organizers aren’t technical
* Tool is limited today but sits on GatherPress’s infrastructure, so it can be refined later
* Jeff confirmed Mary is fully supportive of GatherPress; no extra persuasion needed
* Once 1.0 lands, the team will need to tackle technical debt and backwards-compat considerations### **Fluent Integration Idea**
* Patricia is interested in integrating GatherPress with FluentForm and Fluent CRM for community events
* Michael suggested starting a GitHub discussion to scope it out — could be a companion plugin or core feature
* Patricia will open the discussion### **Carson’s Plugins**
* Carson is working on an ICS importer and a calendar plugin
* Michael is considering pulling pieces into GatherPress core down the road### **Recurring Events**
* Targeted for 0.35 — Michael will start planning and possibly some early implementation
### **WordPress 7.0**
* Jeff will be listed as a core contributor for 7.0 thanks to his work on the AI-related WSOD fix
### **Other**
* John is updating his WordPress.org login/username to “John Mack” and will send the update to Michael for team credit
* Michael will add John to the team credit list once the new info is in
* Patricia is preparing a lightning talk and will drop the link in chat for team review### **Next Steps**
* Jeff: clean up the Google Maps PR (comment out hybrid/terrain, add API key support) and prototype static maps
* Jeff: revert submodule updates on GatherPress.org and coordinate cleanup with Mervyn
* Jeff: help swap Gravity Forms on GatherPress.org for the new form option
* Jeff: review Dion’s 2-minute integration video and share feedback
* Michael: create private GatherPress.org repo under the GatherPress org and grant Jeff/Mervyn access
* Michael: ship 0.34 Beta 1 in the next 1–2 weeks (block patterns + shadow taxonomy)
* Michael: continue WP 7 RC1 testing and update support status after release
* Michael: ping Chris and Sean to test Beta 1 once it’s out
* Michael: start planning recurring events for 0.35
* Michael: add John to team credit once updated .org info arrives
* Patricia: open a GitHub discussion for Fluent Community/CRM/Forms integration ideas
* Patricia: share lightning talk link in chat
* John: update WordPress.org login/username and send new details to Michael
